The Skeleton is a very common mob in minecraft. It deals about 1-3 damage .5 - 1.5 hearts each hit. It is a ranged attacker. DONT GET CLOSE. The best way to kill it is with a bow and arrow because if you get close, it shoots faster and you can get killed. They have a knock back also so be careful in caves.They mostly spawn in dim places.They have 10 hearts for life. If another mob hits a skeleton the skeleton will attack it so use that to your advantage.Very rarely you may come across a spider jockey which is a skeleton riding on a spider. It has two times the health which means it has 20 hearts. If you kill a skeleton, it will give you one to two arrows or one to two bones. Arrows are used in bows and bones can be crafted into bonemeal and can tame wolves. Stay tuned for more info on other mobs.

Tip On Surviving Minecraft #4
Another tip on how to play minecraft. #4 is never dig straight up or down. If you are digging straight down you could fall down into a cave with a lot of bad mobs and you wont be able to get back up above ground. Also if you are digging straight up, sand could fall on you and suffocate you and also mobs could fall on you and kill you. Tip #3 tomorrow. Don't dig down or else this could happen.
